  • Pamela has been in the education industry for over ten years. She has many years of experience working in international schools, and she is keen at international education concepts and the differences between Chinese and western education philosophies. She is currently responsible for the school curriculum, teaching arrangements, associate teachers and the training of classroom assistants.
  • She has also attended and passed the PYP programme teacher training for IB school accreditation.
  • As an educator, she believes that "Every child is unique" and is passionate about helping every student to know themselves and become the best they can be.

  • Yoyo Guo has over 10 years of experience working in international school libraries. She joined ISA Tianhe in 2015 and is one of the founding members of the school. The library is the heart of the school, and Yoyo has created a library that allows students and teachers to use the resources and space for teaching and learning, enhance students' interest in reading, and develop their reading hobby.
  • She has a knack for using the different student's personalities to engage the classroom and make it truly fun for the students to read. Yoyo is actively involved in teaching and library workshops outside of work, and she believes that only by becoming a lifelong learner herself, and then she can inspire and motivate more students and others to become lifelong learners.

  • Simon graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Education. He spent two years at Sprout, a non-profit in New York City providing travel and recreation for adults with developmental disabilities. Simon moved to Maine where he worked with The Spurwink School for 12 years, pursuing his Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Maine in Orono during this time.
  • He also worked at Maine Medical Center in the Organ Transplant program and served as a school counselor in Shanghai and Hyderabad.

  • Amy is deeply passionate about working with children and brings eight years of international teaching experience to ISA Tianhe. She holds a BA Hons Degree in Guidance Counselling from the University of Newcastle in England, as well as a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from the University of Derby. Currently, Amy is pursuing her Master's in Special Educational Needs to enhance her ability to support children with diverse learning challenges.
  • Believing that every child deserves the opportunity to realize their strengths, Amy is dedicated to inspiring and empowering her students to reach their full potential. Drawing on insights from her thesis on fostering children's social, emotional, and mental well-being in the classroom, she has seamlessly integrated these principles into her everyday teaching practices. In her current role, Amy has the privilege of providing personalized support tailored to the unique needs of each student.

  • Trista received a Master's degree from the South China University of Technology. She has almost 11 years of teaching experience, focusing on English and Maths teaching. She taught TOEFL, IELTS, SAT math, and A Level math. As an experienced teacher, Trista has encountered cross-cultural students of all ages. She helped them to prepare language and subjects tests, ensuring they can finally get an ideal score to apply to prestigious schools.
  • With the accumulated experience of how to get along with different students, Trista would like to use these to deliver lessons effectively to help and enlighten students to perform better and explore new things around them.

  • As a dedicated mathematics educator at ISA Tianhe School, Sunny brings a wealth of experience and expertise honed over 8 years of tutoring and teaching across various educational settings. Sunny taught mathematics, physics, chemistry, IELTS, TOEFL, SAT and A level at many international schools.
  • With a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from Xi'an International Studies University, and MS in Mathematical Finance & Financial Technology from Boston University, Sunny brings extensive experience in teaching and research to her role. Her specialization in comprehensive SAT tutoring and math Olympiads showcases her dedication to academic excellence and student success across various disciplines.

  • Andrew Bowden joins the ISA Tianhe Physical Education team with 9 years of teaching and leadership experience. He has taught a variety of age groups, from early years to Middle School. He coaches several sports, but he is most passionate about soccer. He has been coaching soccer for over ten years!
  • Andrew graduated from Southampton University in 2011 with a BA Honours degree. He then completed his Post-Graduate education (PGCE) at the University of Nottingham in the UK. He is qualified and experienced in numerous sports and is excited to share his experience with the ISA Tianhe community.
  • He believes in the power of sport to aid in the education process. By promoting engaging sporting opportunities, students can gain valuable social and physical skills and learn about healthy living.

  • A PE teacher with over 7 years experience in education and sports coaching. Mark has worked in China as well as in Europe, working with students of all ages, between those just starting their school journey and those in their final year.
  • Mark graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in Sports Coaching and Development. He also has a PGCE from Leeds Beckett University. While at university, Mark has completed various coaching badges in different sports such as football and rugby. Aside from this, Mark also has completed workshops in IB, PYP focused, showing an interest in professional development and working to improve as an educator.
  • Student enjoyment of PE is at the heart of Mark’s teaching approach, and he strives to create a positive and open environment for students to flourish and learn.

  • A graduate of Oxford Brookes University with a BA (Hons) in Sports Coaching Studies, James furthered his education with a PGCE in Physical Education from Buckingham University. Committed to continuous professional development, he has pursued various qualifications and certifications, from sports coaching to CrossFit, alongside engaging with pedagogical methods such as the International Baccalaureate (IB) and inquiry-based learning. In addition, James is in the final stages of completing his master’s in education from Buckingham University, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to enhancing his knowledge and skills.
  • James Wyatt is an experienced PE teacher with over fifteen years of experience in the education sector. Having worked across diverse cultures and countries, including the UK, New Zealand, USA, China, and Japan, James brings a wealth of international perspectives to his teaching approach. He champions inclusivity, promoting active and healthy lifestyles among students and cultivating a lasting passion for wellbeing.

  • Meiling holds both a master`s and a doctoral degree in piano from America. Her pedagogical experience includes 5 years of work as artistic volunteering and music therapy in the United States. Some of her important achievements include performances and lectures in venues across the US (Carnegie Hall), Latin America, and Asia.
  • Her teaching and performance philosophy is guided by both her Chinese-Korean cultural heritage, and her American higher education. This forms an interdisciplinary approach to collaboration and teaching-presenting music in a large, historical, holistic, traditional, international, and intellectual contexts.

  • Peter Sinclair brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the classroom as a seasoned educator with 18 years of teaching music at both elementary and middle school levels. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music & music technology from Kingston University London, and a teaching certification from the University of Buckingham. He is also a classically trained singer, ensemble director and workshop leader.
  • He excels in integrating technology and musical applications into the curriculum, emphasizing the nurturing of each student's unique talents and learning styles. Employing a variety of teaching methods, he is dedicated to fostering students' creativity, technical proficiency, and deep appreciation for music. Additionally, he actively encourages student participation in various performing arts activities, creating a supportive learning environment.

  • Liz has gained over 20 years teaching experience after gaining her Bachelor of Education. Liz brings her international experience to ISA Tianhe. Liz has a holistic approach to teaching and learning. She is passionate about the students’ creative success, and equally as passionate about their emotional well-being. She is known for providing a balanced learning environment that is engaging, respectful, and enjoyable.
  • Liz is also passionate about film making. While teaching in Australia, she and her students won first prize in two school film festivals for a German film, and first prize for an Art film competition.

  • Paris joined ISA in 2016 as a teacher of English Language, Language Acquistion and ESL. He has also enjoyed teaching Y8, and Y9 at the Middle School attached to Sun Yat-Sen University.
  • He has a BSc (Honors) Degree in Linguistics & Computation from the University of Manchester, England, the UK, and IPGCE International Post Graduate Certificate of Education University of Sunderland, England, UK as well as many IB MYP and PYP teaching certificates.

William also specialises in English as an Additional Language and holds further TEFL Qualifications. William has spent fourteen years teaching in international schools including Dulwich College Shanghai Puxi and The British School of Guangzhou. William always aims high to ensure we provide high quality language instruction for students using exciting, multimodal teaching strategies to develop language acquisition.

She has trained in IB teaching with a Certificate in Language Acquisition (Implementing the PYP curriculum).

  • Tina graduated from Konkuk University in Seoul and holds various qualifications and certifications in teaching and instruction, TEFL, business technology, and translation. She is passionate about teaching Korean language and motivated to help students learn and appreciate the language and culture. Tina is dedicated to creating engaging and impactful lessons that incorporate whole-child teaching practices.

She graduated from the Lingnan Normal University with a bachelor's degree in Primary Education and got the master's degree in Project management from Sydney University. She worked as an English teacher in a public primary school in Guangzhou and then joined our school in 2019. She has assisted the Y5 PYP graduation exhibition for many times.
  • She would like to guide students to develop the learning habit of thinking, exploring and summarizing on their own by using mind mapping and other methods.
